SOWiL Limited has undertaken and completed a signalling design project for Jarvis Facilities, U.K consisting of 22 jobs of introduction of Train Protection Warning System (TPWS) on British Rail, by deputing our engineers to U.K. 

SOWiL Transrail is currently working on Signalling and Telecommunication works in another project in India for MRVC involving integrated planning, design, and construction supervision of track, yard remodelling, OHE modification and signalling modifications and Development of facilities for running EMU trains over a 60 km section between Virar and Dahanu-Road on Mumbai Suburban section of Western Railway. The responsibilities are:

• Material supply for Point motors, relays, relay racks, panels, batteries, wirings, indicators, PA system components, AWS equipment etc and proper storage systems and accounting.   
• Planning appropriate phasing of additions and alterations to signalling installations keeping in view the sequence contemplated in the work plan and sequence of Permanent Way work in coordination with Railway authorities, ensuring following of all the procedures and precautions while executing the work.   Ensuring adequacy of Contractor’s resources before undertaking Block working/ disconnections.  Checking wiring in the relay rooms, testing functionalities of signalling circuits/ panels before commissioning.  Checking measurements of work done and certification of bills.   
• Planning execution of AWS work in coordination with Railway authorities, ensuring that safety of trains is not jeopardized and laid down procedures are followed while executing the work.   Checking measurements of work done and certification of bills.  
• Planning of PA Systems and indicator boards in consonance with the progress of civil works and yard remodeling works.  Ensuring following of all the procedures and precautions while executing the work near running tracks.  Checking measurements of work done and certification of bills.
• Preparation of completion drawings for Electrical OHE and General Services and for Signalling and Telecom works, SWR diagrams, SWR’s etc.  
• Preparation of documents for commissioning the project i.e. CRS’s sanction and for EIG’s sanction.  
• Preparation and submission of completion estimates and reports and Maintenance Manual.
